Privacy Statement

Canada Privacy Training Inc. (“CPT”, “we” or “us”) collects, uses and discloses personal information in the course of providing training services. Because we operate in Ontario, Canada, CPT is generally subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The personal information we collect depends on the circumstances. When we develop and license courses to an organization, we collect business contact information required to communicate with representatives of the organization (e.g., name, email address and phone number). If we are delivering courses to employees through our third-party learning management system provider (Digital Chalk), we are required to collect name and email addresses of all employees who receive training. Further, within the LMS, details about each employees’ training are collected, including such things as status, and date and time of completion. We use this information to deliver online training.

We would rarely ever disclose personal information to a third party. This could occur if we were required to do so in response to a lawful demand from a law enforcement agency.

We use Google Analytics to analyze traffic on our website. We only collect aggregated, anonymous statistics. We never know when or from where a specific individual or subscriber is accessing the site.

We only use your personal information for marketing purposes with your consent.

Recognizing that no system is completely secure, we exercise great care to keep all confidential information, personal or otherwise, safe from loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. We use an online, cloud-based service provider for file management and storage. Some or all of this information may reside on servers located in the United States, meaning there is a very remote possibility that it could be accessed by law enforcement agencies in Canada or the U.S.

If you have any questions about this policy, or access your information, please contact us.
